Refurb Quickie
Discussion
Hello,
I've just picked up a set of BBS LM's that are in need of a bit of TLC, can anyone suggest a good place for refurbing, please?
Also, is it likely to cost more because they're split rims/ 19s? I have in my mind that £50 per corner is the going rate.
Sorry for the sheer volume of dull that is this thread.
Thanks in advance for forgiving me.

My mate just unbolted the centres, got them blasted and powder coated by the local powder coaters, and polished and sealed up the outsides himself, fairly cheap way of doing it if you can be bothered with doing some your self.
I like this in principal, but sadly am a massively cack-handed spaz.RobCrezz said:

I've done this with 3 piece wheels on more than once, it is time consuming but not difficult.nervous said:

Really wasn't too hard to be honest. He polished up the shiny bits, then used some sealing stuff. Then we masked up the shiny bits and painted the inside bits (not the centres) with some matt black spray paint as a bit of protection from all the brake dust and crap. Also painted the split rim bolts black which really looks good with the centres powder coated white. The white gunk is just the lube for getting the tyre on.

There is a place in Birmingham that have an offer of £20.00 per wheel (I had an SLK's alloys refurbished by them a couple of years ago, and was very pleased with the results).
any idea who?BEFORE
Wheels were very badly pitted and had lost their "gloss" shine (if that makes sense)?

AFTER (anthracite gloss)
