RE: Hyundai Veloster rally car: perfect for golf?

This new video is an unashamed spot of marketing puff for Rhys Millen and his latest Hyundai-shaped squeeze, the Veloster rally car.
Hyundai Veloster rally car: perfect for golf?
New 500hp Hyundai suits Rhys Millen to a tee (groan)

But we don't mind, because the concept of using a 500hp turbo-nutter rally monster as a golf cart definitely improves one of nature's less adrenaline-fuelled sports (apologies to the golfers out there).
So even if the video does look like the sort of thing Ken Block might go and do once he's given up on Gymkhanas we reckon it's good for a giggle. Especially for the blooper reel at the end.
And the fact that it gives us the chance to post up videos of Rhys Millen's epic drives up Pikes Peakl in both the wacky Hyundai Genesis PM580 and the more conventional Genesis coupe. Lovely.

Veloster, what a shame it has that badge. Idiots will be turned off it in their droves, ignoring the car and seeing only the brand, no matter he good it turns out to be. I'm a hypocrite, I have to include myself in that. Koreans build worthy white goods, the hot hatch market is a tougher crowd,

My dad has just bought a Hyundai i40 sport tourer despite all of his 'petrolhead' mates telling him it was cheap and nasty and korean cars fall apart after 3 years apparently despite its 6 year warranty on mechanical and paint/body parts. It's cheaper than its rivals with more toys on it and I really like it, decent ride, not a bad engine not quick but very smooth(smoother than his CRV)
I'd seriously consider a Hyundai after my experience of them.

Did we ever get the Genesis Coupe in the UK?
If only we did. It's a great looking car as standard, 2 litre turbo engine and rear wheel drive. It would have sold well over here. Maybe the launch of the GT86 and BRZ will change Hyundai's mind about bringing it over here.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
