Strange title I know but I really want a Land Rover Defender just for a bit of fun and to fettle with but I already have 2 cars in my garage so it would probably lead a fairly unused life out in the elements.

I just really can't justify it even though buying one wouldn't be a problem frown

Maybe some day.

Any others?

Series Landy and a classic Mini

Very strong want for both but probably will never scratch either itch for various reasons.

If you scratch the landrover itch you will get lost for a couple of years.
You will come out of the other side if it one day wondering what happened.

This thread is double posted for some reason.

Anyway...

Alfa 159 3.2 Lusso, with the 19" wheels and all the toys. They look incredible but would be worth 1p after ownership.

Such a shame.

Stupid iPhone double post.

I absolutely knew an Alfa would be one if the first!

That is one of the reasons why I haven't. Yet.

I'm really starting to think about it seriously as prices seem to be creeping up quite quickly on Series vehicles.

OMG, buy the Land Rover Defender.
I have two vans and a Defender and the wife has her own car as well.

I use my new fantastic Berlingo van every day just about and my LR sits on the drive and gets used on a Sat/Sunday or both and I luv it.

WHY... because its there and it has my name on it.

BUY IT!!!

Jaguar x300/x308. I need a new car for about a grand. I want it to feel special. The Jag fits the criteria nicely and i can't stop looking at them, but I find myself reluctant to buy one. Partly due the sheer size of it, and partly due to fear of bork. I'm also worried that I'll get regret it because my current daily - 306 gti-6 is quite fun.

BMW 6 series.

I want a V8 once in my life, but resent all the fuel duties that inevitably go to support nasty scumbags.

Porsche 996. Fancy one, can afford to buy one, too scared to by the possibility of a dead engine to do it.

Volvo V70R Classic... I had an S70R Auto a few years back and always wanted a gold V70R instead. Tried to view one last year and recently was sore tempted by a couple of cars for sale down south. As much as I love them, I dunno... I just have that underlying feeling that the novelty would wear off rather quickly. Plus the fuel killed me before, so that's a big issue. I suppose it's like dating a blonde, having a bad break up... you still like them but hmmm, something doesn't sit well for some reason.

I don't do many miles and pretty much all of them I'm either carrying things or kids.

Quite want a Noble / Ferrari but I'd never use it.

If I REALLY wanted one I'd buy one.

I almost envy Chris Harris's devotion to go £100k into debt to buy his Porsche.

I simply have never wanted anything that much.
