Is it worth getting door shuts wrapped?

I'm going to get my car wrapped in gloss white, and having the door shuts wrapped is about 1/4 to 1/3 of the total cost. Is it worth it? The car is grey at the moment so I'm undecided whether they would stand out that much...

Has anyone had it done or have any pictures of unwrapped door shuts?

I would get the door shuts done. These days the wraps are very good quality, the one I am getting has 10 year guarantee. Plus it is much tougher than paint when it comes to stonechips etc and keeps the paintwork underneath in good condition.

I would think it would wind you up not getting those bits done, as including the shuts etc. will presumably mean even most of the bits that aren't normally seen are the 'right' colour and look like less of a bodge. If you want a White car get it done properly IMO.

IMO, you shouldn't get your car wrapped. I'd been considering it for a while for mine as I fancied a change, however have heard far too many bad stories to make it worth considering.

IMO, if you are determined to wrap your car, you should do it in such as way as to make it as easy as possible to successfully remove the wrap when you want to sell it on.

Whilst the paint underneath will be in good condition, you'll still never make your money back when selling.

I can understand getting the car wrapped in a colour the original manufacturer couldn't supply, but white? You can buy a white one straight from the factory.

Its cheaper and less risky than a respray and tougher. Admittedly I am getting my car wrapped in a non standard colour, but I also like the idea of the protection and the ability to return to its factory paint.

Of course you will never make your money back selling, but who really cares about the next owner? Same could be said of a respray.

I don't have a problem with wrapped cars, but not doing the door shuts would be a shame and it would annoy me beyond reason!
