They came back with the cheapest quote for my traders policy this year by far nearly half price of last year, and appear to have no restrictions on what they cover, although they put modded and classics on 3rd party only, so is it just to good to be true? I have googled them and nothing to bad, they also have online update for MID which is great

Cant Pm you as your pms are not turned on.

What I will say is I was with them a year, had a claim which took 8 months to sort out and it was straight forward.

I am not with them now.

That bit about classics is interesting to know. I'm with another company at the moment who're cheap enough but don't cover anything over 30 years old which is a bit of a pain for me. I've taken the name & will call them when mine is due to end.. Cheers.

I'm with them, have been since Footman James doubled my premium despite me having never claimed in the ten years I was with them. Tradewise are......well, not great. Their admin is shocking and took ages to get a car onto the policy. At one stage I asked them for a breakdown of all the cars on the policy to get sent a list of 30 odd cars.....most of which I had finished working on ages ago. They now offer the online option of listing cars directly onto MID which is better since you cab see what is on the policy and change car details as and when you like.

I've heard horror stories but they are coming in at £2k when others are £3-4k, they allow social use, they will cover classics and modified on 3rd party only, £550 excess, sooo tempting, I just have to hope I never claim

Stopped using them after reading a few tales of bow difficult they can be to deal with in the event of making a claim.
Would rather pay a little more for a better service so got my broker to get a few more quotes. MMA are quite good.

I'm not sure there is any such thing as a good one when it comes to insurance companies, they're all legalised robbers as far as I'm concerned. I'm with MMA simply for the price but I have no experience with making a claim from them so can't really comment on them any further.

As far as I can tell a lot of companies are becoming very strict about who they'll actually insure or not, Road runner being a prime example & wont insure anyone trade unless they can prove either one year of working solely in the trade or so many years accounts if self employed. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing but can be a pain in the arse for someone who is genuine & trying to get a policy for the first time.
