I am sure this has been discussed before but my daughters insurance renewal came through the other day for £800 so we thought we would try the confused websites and low and behold we got a lower quote of £470 from the same fking insurance company.
How can it be possible to cancel your renewal and re-apply as a new customer to get a cheaper premium. We did phone said insurance company who said they could not match online quote and that all details were correct and was advised to go with online quote seems bizarre to mescratchchin

Quotes done online sometimes do not reflect true value. I would advise taking the reference number and give the insurer a quick ring to confirm smile

Getting fresh quotes much cheaper than renewal is not unusual - it's a very cheeky form of "idiot taxing" to catch those who simply accept whatever the renewal letter says without checking anywhere else. It is, however, very odd that your company refuse to match the online quote and renew with it, instead requiring a new policy. Doesn't make much sense.

I know the Admiral Group will simply take any quote gained from their system by any medium (I had a single-car quote through Confused, and a multi-car policy originally bought direct) and match it straight away.

I did take reference number and was also told to do it on their own website just to check and got same quote did not go with them as some were even cheaper wanted to pay monthly aswell unlike Admiral who tend to be cheapest for younger drivers but rip you off totally if you dont pay one off yearly payment.
