Just wondering the general views on the car in terms of performance after owning a 911 carrera 4s for just over a year now its become time for me to move on, i'am doing more school runs,shopping and camping trips up to the mountains. Now i want a 4x4 but i want to try and keep the performance. Whats everyones views on the cayenne turbo S

From what i can gather and parkers quoted 4.5 Seconds 0-60 time can i acutally achieve a 4x4 with 911 power?

My father ran one for a couple of years, sold it about 6 months ago. Fantastic vehicle. Needless to say not cheap to run. Any specific questions?

I can only talk from having had a 4.8l Cayenne S, same motor but non turbo.

I test drove it, "knowing" I would hate it, but intrigued by something a mate said about how awesome they are....and afterwards I bought it!
It was the most incredibly surprising vehicle I have EVER been in, just physics defying and so blooody quick on "real roads".

If I did less miles, I'd have another in a heartbeat.

Just awesome tools. I can only imaging the turbo is even more epic, but with even more epic bills to boot. So the S would do me, still see off just about anything out there in the real world.

BTW, I averaged 18mpg in mine, and did not hang about, it was surprisingly frugal considering its size and speed.

Can only talk about the first gen 4.5 turbo....just got one..by far the most performance of any 4x4.Just does not feel like a big 4x4 at all.Get one.

Went to look at a couple of overfinch sports today and there was a cayenne turbo at the dealers that caught my eye

I have had a few 911's but never fancied the cayenne until now. Some of them are very very cheap

Whats the things to watch out for on them, any ideas??

They are awesome bits of kit.

Go like st off a shovel. Stop just as fast! Corner well too.

I have a 2004 Cayenne Turbo that's been breathed on to about 510bhp.

My wife drives the kids around in it but when I want to play its an animal.

I've surprised some pretty quick stuff, db9's 996's etc.

Get everything checked by someone who knows as they are expensive if things go wrong and also, they do like a drink.

I have a 996tt too, it's nowhere near as quick as that but I honestly think it will fell quicker than your 4s.

A supercharged range won't see which way it went, merc ML63 is closest rival. Get one with the winter pack if poss

How did the 911 compare with your 1.8 Astra?
