Wait a few days and see. If its still causing pain then go and see your GP. They should tell you what's wrong and what to do.
If it causes you to not work or that much off a hinderence. Then claim. But don't complain about insurance prices for a while. biggrin

Exactly what do help and advice do you require? Medical help? Legal help? Perhaps both: the mild discomfort you are presently experiencing will be relieved by the receipt of £1,500 six months hence. Imagine that money. Feel better yet?

I've had whiplash. It hurt like hell for a couple of days. Went to doctors, he said get girlfriend to massage it. I was single, so I manned up and carried on.

I have also broken my neck. I did whimp a bit on this one and had some time off work, they had strapped me to a bed though.

Total compensation £0.00p Didn't ask for any, didn't want any, just glad everything still worked.

Get yourself to a doctor and get it checked out. Whiplash injuries often become apparent hours, sometimes days, after an accident. If you have suffered whiplash, it should be treated, when it's not it can lead to long-term damage, which sometimes only becomes apparent years later. And if you are injured, do all the paperwork, and take the silly cow who crashed into you for every penny you can squeeze out of her insurers (and maybe go round to her house and shoot her too, but only after you've sorted your neck out biglaugh

Might as well ring them for an appointment if it's still stiff tomorrow, so its documented.

Think long and hard before No Win No Fee crosses your mind, and even longer before accepting an ex-gratia ayment. Not only is it liable to increase your risk profile (most of my recent renewals specifically asked about PI claims), it means everyone's gets a smidge more expensive.

If you are injured, on the other hand, feel free to use the process to make good your actual losses.

This evening, in a queue, Mrs Miggins decided she quite liked the rear of the car and took a closer look.

Huge bang, jolt, her cars a mess. (Mondeo vs Fiesta is no contest). Rear bumper cracked, bent and disloged from its mountings. Not had a look underneath yet.

Spoken to the insurers, within 3 hours, her insurance company told me they were admitting full fault.

I've spoken to the insurers designated injury claim people, because, (avoiding a cliche here), my back and neck hurt, mainly the top of the spine where it meets the neck.

Paramedics attended as did Police, checked her over but they were in a rush so i told them no to bother. It's starting to hurt me a bit now. I feel cheeky because people will assume im faking it when im not due to this whipcash culture.

Anyway, there's no way im wasting the time of a hospital for this, but should i go to my gp? The claim people advised i go to see them if there's still pain tomorrow.

Would a walk-in centre suffice? I assume the doc will give me a once over, give me some strong neurofen and tell me to rest. Im back in work on Saturday and dont plan on taking time off unless the pain gets worse.

So, advice from anyone in the know? Do i make an appt with the gp, go to the walk in centre or what? I just want to make sure im covered and dont want anyone suggesting ive made it up further down the line.

You need to go to A&E straightaway and get it checked out. Some people are ok some it can leave you with damaged or restricted movement for life.

Whiplash immediately after the accident - It must be bad, you could get millions for that. The pain is so bad, the first thing you think of doing is logging onto PH to see how much others think you're likely to get as a payout

Or you could just be jumping on the 'I want my compensation' band wagon

I fear this thread will not end well for you OP

I'd suggest you get it checked out, but only claim for whiplash if you have to take time off work. If you work in an office, you shouldn't need time off. If you are a Fitness instructor, you might.

I've had whiplash from all sorts of stupid board sports and because it was entirely my fault, I've never even considered taking time off college or work.

But maybe you should consider getting their insurance to pay for the diference that it will make to your insurance premium for the next year or so. That IS fair IMO, as getting rear ended really isn't your fault.

Was your headrest adjusted accordingly? wink

So you told the paramedics to leave without checking you, but once they have admitted liability, your neck now hurts........
