Not going to bore you with the whole saga, but I went to change the rear pads on my car today and a half hour job turned into about four hours due to various things being seized or temperamental.

Why is it almost every time it seems to be the easy jobs on your car turn into something much more long winded?

Or is it just me LOL?

Sometimes it goes the other way. When the indicators stopped working on my car I thought I would be having all the wires out- but in the end all I had to do was unplug the ticker unit and put in a new one. There are even clips to make it easier- less than a 1 minute job!

Rear pads on my 156 were a bit of a bugger, either take apart the suspension or use a spanner with limited space and 2 degrees of movement. I chose the latter.
Quite possibly someone will come along and tell me that there Is an easy way!

The easy way will be a specialist tool that Alfa mechanics have.
