Failure to stop, yet gets awarded £20,000 compensation!
Discussion
So this t
t fails to stop for police, convicted, yet gets awarded £20,000 compo today. Looks to me like he only stopped where he did because if you notice in the vid there were police further up the road, so possibly had stinger out? No mention is made of that, or why he happened to stop right there.
I think I might try this next time police want to pull me over

Good on him for getting the money.
Those f
king halfwits for coppers smashed his side window and the other pudding jumped on his bonnet and started to kick his windscreen in, all for the sake of a seatbelt.
How can anyone agree with the police on this, Starsky and Hutch acted so over the top.
Those pricks should of been sacked.
Plus £100k out of the coppers kitty because of those two pricks.
He was an old dude, shirley the pricks can tell a baddy from a goody.
The RR dude had the money to fight them and won, WELL DONE HIM.

There was a long thread on this subject a while back, and there is alot more to it.

From memory, he failed to stop for a LONG time, and then attempted to run over one of the officers... I'm not exactly suprised they smashed his window in.Those f

Conveniently, none of the articles mention it, though...
TBH - not read the article, but I do watch a lot of these Police Camera Action things.
I don't suppose the camera footage is made to look the Perp in a good light, but sometimes I think they go in completely over the top.
I know they are trained to get people on the floor to keep themselves safe, but it seems to be almost arbitary when they do it. Get attacked - drop em to the floor with major violence, start to loose an arguement and get pissed off, drop em to the floor with major violence, Guy doesn't want to be searched for no apparent reason, drop em to the floor with major violence.

Seen the footage, and whilst the old boy was behaving bizarrely to say the least, it didn't warrant the tactics used imo. Conveniently, none of the articles mention it, though...
I think a lot of the time the cops need to drink a can of 'man-up' or something. They're plainly s
tting themselves at the point of "go, go, go" and all rational thought processes are flushed away by a rush of adrenaline. This is a great quality in a WW1 soldier but not a great quality in a Policeman. hornetrider said:

Not condoning it in any way, but I remember following my Mother In Law for nearly 5 miles constantly flashing my lights and beeping the horn to get her to stop (forgot her bag with medication in). She drove on oblivious to anything other than what was in front of her. When I told her what I had been doing for the last five miles she hadn't realised I was there
Let's face it he was driving at 40mph so hardly trying to get away.

It would have been mentioned in court though..... Cops went over the top..... This case shows their behaviour was unacceptable...Conveniently, none of the articles mention it, though...
