1995 Toyota MR2 on a classic policy?
Discussion
I'd be interested to see responses on this.
I have the same car of the same year, used as a second however at the moment on a socil only policy. Not classic. I was under the impression though the car had to be in excess of 20years to qualify as a classic to insurance companies. Or does it vary from insurer to insurer? I always believed classic policies, due to the amount of use and rarity of accidents as owners are generally more careful, were alot cheaper if very restrictive.

Very surprising and interesting that, I'd see the MR2 being somewhat more of a rareity and oddity as well compared to an MX5.
I agree. BUT the number of MR2 owners that I would imagine have a poorer insurance profile compared to Mk1 MX-5 owners would appear to be significantly higher judging by the state of the majority of Mk 2 MR2s you see in the classifieds. Was that diplomatic enough?

Haha just about. Was that diplomatic enough?
And yeah I agree, while you see less around the ones you do are often absolute heaps covered in body kits fixed with woodscrews and ill fitting alloys.
Edit:
To be fair alot of the straight ones aren't so when you look a little closer. Took me ages to find a nice one.
