Does anyone have an opinion on these? According to the dealer, it will improve engine performance and increase fuel economy. So on the face of it not a bad idea, but I've never heard of them before. Has anyone had one of these done before?

Is this a strip and clean of the injectors and induction or a treatment they're offering ? They usually do offer a treatment that goes into the fuel because this will increase profits more than your MPG. If it's a strip and clean then again it could be extra work and your car may not need it. Is yours suffering from any of the problems they say this fixes ?

From what you say it's a bit hard to understand what the services actually are, are you talking about treatments like the forte stuff which is just a liquid added to the fuel or actually physically removing inlet manifolds, injectors or other parts for cleaning etc. Personally I think it's probably a method of extracting more money from your wallet.

I remove and clean injectors for lots of customers - I have made my own cleaning system running compressed air and a 6v electrical feed I charge around 40quid extra - I wouldn't touch a high pressure diesel injection system though - I refer those to my local diesel specialist. Makes a big difference to the spray pattern by cleaning them and improves running and performance.

An "induction" service sounds like BS to me and would probably just include cleaning the throttle body/bodies/carb and to be honest is something that I do on every car as part or a routine service and don't charge any extra for

From what they described it is an additive that is run through the injectors while the car is running. The Induction thing seems the be a spray treatment thing.
