Alternatives to 350z / s200 / Boxster s?
Discussion
Is there any worth considering at all? I'm looking at replacing the 330ci as the daily driver thats not as dull as dishwater. Has anyone got any maybe slightly left-field alternatives to these three obvious contenders?
Ideally I want it to be a sporty good handling car, good fun to drive, not too awful on fuel (i'm used to 20-23 mpg already so if isn't 15-18 or below i'll be fine). I'm not overly bothered about speed but don't want anything slower than my current car. It needs to be fairly reliable although I don't kid myself thinking any sports / performance car will be cheap to run overall.
The last requirement is probably the biggest problem in the mix - I don't want to spend over £5-6k maximum on the car itself. I'd love an e46 M3 but I know a £6k bottom of the market example may end up costing me a fair bob as a daily driver. Any opinions on the e36 m3 evo? Or has anyone got any other suggestions? Could really use the knowledge of the PH members for suggestions here as my mind is stuck for ideas!
Thanks in advance guys.
