Land Rover apprenticeships - age limit?

On the face of it this might seem like a silly question, but bear with me...

The OH's sister wants to apply for one of these. She has an engineering background and some experience already, and this is exactly what she wants to do... but she's 30.

We've scoured the website - it's an online application process - but there's nothing anywhere even suggesting that this is targeted at, or limited to, school leavers.

Anyone know?

As far as im aware they do ( or used to ) take on mature apprentices. I would enquire to them, if you dont ask you dont get!

I think gov supported apprenticeships finish at 24

Iirc.....

You cannot age discriminate for apprentiships but, you cannot employ someone for less than the minimum wage if they are over 21 (even at 19 they are only exempt from the minimum wage for one year).

I'm not sure what JLR pay, but if it's less than the minimum wage they'd be obviously having to pay more to employ your dorris.

Then there are other mitigating circumstances in interviewing older apprentices, life situations, possibility of becoming pregnant etc etc & I'm sorry but to most interviewers she is up against it.

Just apply and if rejected ask if they have something more suited to her experience and qualifications.
