Road rage - car contact
Discussion
I've rarely had road rage ever thankfully.
Tonight - pulling away on roundabout, was in the correct lane for going right, where we filtered into one lane to leave I had a car from the inside try to cut me up. He didn't get away with it. Anyway, about 8 miles later on coming off the motorway, I pulled away at traffic lights on the roundabout and the guy flew over from the right hand lane, holding down his horn and touched off my car. I slowed down so he was in front of me, the two cars behind went ahead and it was either hang around to try to get his reg and possibly get rammed properly or get out of there. He just brushed off me, I didn't suspect much damage and there's nothing I'd really notice again and not risking what this nutter might do I drove off and didn't manage to get a reg.
On reflection, I think he was trying to push me off the road rather than intending to knock the cars, but without a reg I'm not going to bother reporting it to the Police.
Bizarre!
I saw a nasty road rage incident in north London involving a Range Rover getting a car up on the pavement and then it's driver punching the other guy. I called the Police - they had little interest and implied it's common around London.
Had not dissimilar things happen to friends - I don't know for certain they were innocent, but they're not the sort of people to go out looking for trouble.
Is this becoming more common?
Who are the people who do this - bad day? psychotic?
Anyone else had something similar "out of the blue"

Same people who cant control themselves outside of the car, probably. Maybe they should do some kind of psychometric testing along with the theory and hazard perception BS at testing time, or stop people with a criminal record for violence from driving, if they must have a test/licensing (not that i want any more tests or any tests at all)Edited by CIS121 on Monday 6th February 23:53
Granted, some 'reserved' type people are more aggressive in the car as they feel insulated or what have you, but most of the nuts in these road rage videos who get out of their cars seem to be the usual tattooed, shaven headed types. Or uppity middle aged women like in that Bath video!
I use to be a nut job but have avoided all forms of that behaviour for a long time.
I know some people are just aggressive idiots behind the wheel if you're in their way.
I also know that there are theprovocative retards victims that prefer to entice the person they have just wronged, into more aggressive behaviour before crying to the police or actually causing an accident.
I use to get upset with people that nearly hit me, not the 45mph brigade or other minor irritations.
