Has someone tried to break into my car?
Discussion
I noticed when I got home today that the plastic strip on top of my passenger side windows has gone walkies. It bridges the gap between roof and windows, there is a gap now but you can't get into the car.
There is no sign of the strip in bushes or near car etc.
Now, I've used the motorbike the past few days and the car hasn't moved since Saturday when I drove back from le GF's in a rougher part of the city.
I think it's happened today as I would have noticed it walking past to the garage for motorbikes etc. (it's parked outside the front door on the drive.)
But, there is a chance it's happened at night, or round at le GF's.

Opinions please...
is it just some hoodlums pinching a bit of the car, an orchestrated attempt to break in and steal the car or contents or some frost shattering effect of the ice when the car was outside le GF's, (it was covered in ice when I left)?
It's an R50 mini.

wouldn't be at all surprised if they half inched it for their own car
friend of mine parked his Mini Cooper in a a 24hr Tesco's one night, beside another Mini
next day his Dad ask him why he had de-badged it
so it appears the other mini driver fancied a Cooper badge and didn't have a fiver to spare
