Valuation - anyone help ?

Looking to pick up a cheapish family runaround. Looking at S-max - can anyone drop me a line with valuation advice on a 2007 2.5 titaimum circa 50k miles(i.e. the petrol 5 cylinder turbo). Both trade and retail would be great. Seem to be around £7 to £8k retail, I'm thinking of picking one up at auction but wondered on the differential Vs retail / private ?

Any info appreciated....
