Going out of my mind (what car?!)

I can't make my mind up on what car to go for. I have upto £16,000 to spend (would like to spend less but would consider spending a bit more for the right car).
Heres what I would like:
· Decent power (250bhp and above)
· Uncommon (no BMW, MB, Audis!)
· Coupe or Convertible (okay with two seaters)
· Automatic
· Low mileage (under 30,000 miles)
· Good looking
· Nice equipment levels e.g leather, climate, cruise
So far I have wittled it down to some kind of Porsche Boxster or a Volvo C70 T5 (the wildcard choice). Can anyone give me some ideas on what else I could go for? I just don't want an MB, Audi, or BMW.
Honda NSX would have been good but we know that'll never happen. Evos and Imprezzas are too basic spec and for something decent the money is going a bit high.
I've been doing this for over two months and am going bald because of it. I must buy a car this month so please can someone just throw out some suggestions? Cheers.

Buy a Corvette C5. You won't ever regret it though replacing that will be hard. slow deporeciation and £215 a year tax and cheap insurance. What's not to like.

If you like the Boxster, you could get a pretty decent 996 for that money. No idea about the equipment levels but I would presume that they're pretty good and would certainly get a closer look from me

But is it a potential money pit ?
I am looking for something similar (under 18k, interesting/entertaining) to replace my 996 C2, so am watching to see what is recommended.
