selling a car with a reconditioned engine

hi,

i have recently put a reconditioned engine in my car its a like for like swap as the old engine had seized.When i declare this to DVLA does the log book come back with the date the engine was changed or not??

My other question is do i have to declare that the engine has been replaced if i sell on or part ex??

A reconditioned engine with receipts should be a good selling point ?

You need to send the log book off for change of engine number to keep records straight.

The date of engine change will not appear on V5.

You should inform them of new engine number.

You do not have to tell a buyer about changing engine but probably best to tell them

before they come back and moan endlessly about it.
