Vehicle transport recommendations...
Discussion
Having made an impulse Ebay purchase, I now need to move a 2.5 tonne 4x4 from Lincolnshire to North Bucks (130 miles)! Unfortunately, I don't have, or know anyone with, a tow vehicle and/or trailer capable of moving this weight of car.
Said vehicle can be driven in 1st at up to about 30 mph (until it overheats), so that is a possibility, but may take a while!
I'm sure a professional will shift it for me - probably for more than I paid for the car in the first place
, so I'm wondering if anyone here can suggest someone or someway of moving it in return for fuel used and a large drink! Ideally this Friday...

Do you have a personal AA/RAC card that gives you recovery home?
If so, drive the car off the drive you have bought the car from, remove a few of the fuses from the car and all of the spare ones and get towed/trailered home by the recovery man.
Unfortunately not - only cover on individual vehicles (one via insurance, other via bank, but had to nominate vehicle, and limited to 10 miles anyway!)
