Ok,heres a bit of a weird one.

My current hack is a 2003 Mondeo Tdci (115) on which I have 2 yrs NCD as my other policy for my Boxster is using up my 8 yrs NCD.

Now,naturally I have been getting bored with driving the hack for the last 2 yrs so have decided I require something more exciting.I have always had a hankering for a mid 2000's Audi RS6 so to put this ambition to bed for a few more years I got an insurance quote thinking that will be that.

Imagine my suprise that the Audi is only £200 more than the mondeo for the year!

Now.I know the Audi is a grp 20 and the Ford,I think,is a 13.Is there really that little difference between them?

All the other details remained the same apart from the value which was tenfold on the Audi.

So,insurance bods out there, why is there such little difference between the two?

Just a sidenote...The Audi quote is only £80 more than my grp 19 Boxster with 8 yrs discount.
