I was just away to prepare an ad for our 500 in the classifieds when I noticed there are nearly 500(!) of the little buggers for sale.

How do I make my ad stand out amongst the predominately trade ads?

IMO the car is strong and will have some very nice photo's to back it up but aside from being the absolute cheapest is there anything else I can do?

Do not make it the absolute cheapest! It'll make some people suspicious, and open you up to even more dreamers than usual.

A nicely written add should see you right. Good luck.

A decent title that isn't all in caps, good quality photos of inside and out and someone to check the speeling to make sure it reads OK and doesn't have a no-brainer in it. Include all the useful info and make sure you've filled out the mileage and price bits correctly on the form so when people search with specifics, it comes up. If it's a special edition or has a certain trim, you could include that in the title for additional searchability.

I find as a buyer I'm much more inclined to consider a car if I think I could have a sensible conversation with the owner, as opposed to proclamations of the excellence of the vehicle, how it's rare, fastest you'll find and other delusional nonsense.

Best of luck with the sale. If you put it up for £1000 it's a shoe-in for SOTW.
