High oil temp?

Hi there,

Just bought an evolution 8 yesterday but, I have a small concern about the engine oil temperature.

It has a oil temperature gauge fitted and I've noticed after putting the foot time a couple of times it rises to 130*C which I think is pretty high! Is this normal? If not would could be the problem?

That does sound quite high. Completely different car I know, but I have a Touareg diesel and when towing three tons up hill in 30 degree heat (ie working hard!) the oil temp goes to about 120 degrees.
