What are the best choices for a small 5 door hatchback with the lowest tax bracket which could still give you a thrill?

Lots of 90HP diesels like DS3, Mini, MiTo etc.. though not sure you could get much fun out of such an engine. Might me more enjoyable to go electric.

Fiesta 1.6 Econetic. Comes in a variety of model specs, magazine reviews managed to get 78mpg from it and tax is free.
