E93 or Volvo C70 Cab

Ive been looking at chopping the MX5 in and im really struggling to find what I want, the only car that really fits the bill is an E93 (4 seats, hardtop convertable, rear wheel drive) but im also tempted by the c70 which is front wheel drive. I cant thik of any other car in this class with rear wheel drive (or awd for that matter)

Am I perhaps being a bit too precious about rear wheel drive?

The other question is what engine to go with diesel or petrol?

The MX5 is an awesome car but ive had it for 6ish years now and I want something with a little bit more room.

The C70 is a bag of poo. The E93 beats it hands down at everything apart from price.

I agree. I had one for a 24 hours test drive and borrowed one from a friend for a few days. It wallows on the road, corners like a bag of sand and has no oomph whatsoever (or maybe it just felt like it had no oomph). It was totally underwhelming. Bit of a shame as I really wanted to like the car and thought they looked great too.

BTW, what's the XF like? I'm sitting on the fence between getting an XF or jumping in feet first with an XJ.
