Hi there, has anyone heard of trade cars in middlesborough?? I went to test drive a renault megane coupe there recently and in there ebay advert...it says it drives fine....well when i test drove it, the gearbox was not right and when i braked, the car shook very violently, the customer service was dreadful, the salesman swore alot and another 2 employees there looked like they wer pissed.

Ive seen a saxo vts they have for sale at the moment but i live 60 miles away from them and dont really want to risk wasting my time nor petrol if its gona turn out like a bag of nips like that megane.

Has anyone bought off them or heard of them?? or have any views about them? if so leave a reply.

Thanks

So after a crap experience last time and a dodgy car, you want to head back? I dont think you need other opinions.

This. Can't understand why you'd even consider going back having had a bad experience.

its down to the car really isnt it. If i wanted a car i wouldnt give much of a toss about who was selling it (i tend to buy rare cars tho), obvs excercise common sense tho they sound great the sellers.

Hi,
Went to look at a car for my daughter yesterday and was just chucked the keys and told to take it for a spin. Car looked ok apart from the fact it wouldnt start !!The guy didnt seemed bothered and just said might have no fuel. Rang the guy later and asked if they had found the problem and said they were just having a look now and would call me this was about 3.30pm. Txt at about 7pm to see if they got it sorted and no reply to that and not answering the phone this morning. Just gone on the advert and the car has disappeared, very strange. Car did seem too cheap so should have known.

Sounds like them, they had to jump start the car i test drove, the car felt very dangerous, didnt seem rite, the brakes wer dreadful, they should of put spares or repair in the advert. They are far from professional, i defo wont be going back there.

I went to look at a corsa there. After finally managing to speak to the disinterested sounding bloke on the phone (that should have been my first warning) I got there to find the car had suffered head gasket failure. The oil and coolant were both thick mayonnaise! Needless to say I didn't bother with a test drive

Sounds like the sort of place that that sells cars it knows are fked under the guise of it being a "trade" sale - a practice that is not legal.

This should tell you all you need to know.

Walk away, now!
