trading two cars in for one
Discussion
We currently have 2 family sized cars (cherokee and forester), We don't really need both of them, they both perform the same function, ie family carry all, and there is a sports car in the garage.
Both cars are getting on a bit (2002-3) but are totally reliable and in good order. In some ways it would be nice to replace the two with one, newer family carry all.
In terms of striking a deal with a dealer, I am thinking that taking in 2 cars to sell one would only really be helpful for him if they are cars he would sell on himself, and so it may work against me if they are not, but as private sales seem a bit slow these days it might be long term best.
We also have the dilemma of what to replace the existing cars with, I have just spent a depressing hour looking al the AT for cars up to £10k with less than 50k on the clock and I cant say I am excited - Any thoughts? err indoors likes a lofty driving position AWD (or 4x4) would be nice and a reasonable boot. We used to have a Rav4 so could go back there, or poss honda crv, I see a few newish suzuki grand vitaras about, but they seem to get mixed reviews. I did look at a subaru tribeca last week which was nice, but it would cost as much to run as our current cars together.
Any tips?
Sorry turned into a bit of a what car?
