Beautiful that, moreso for the condition its in. If I was a rich man I'd have that inside my house as is

The amount of dust and dirt suggests it's been dry stored and so it probably won't have rusted at all (you need a constant supply of moisture for rust to form).

Engine unused for that long will need a stripdown but it's not the disaster those whinging right-wing idiots are painting it as by any means...

Looks really quite tidy IMO.

Be nice to see it restored.

Buy it, clean it, fix the mechanicals and then squire it around town like a good'un. Perfect.

Surely this is worth more than £60k?

That's the guide price, so gives you an idea of the reserve, what it actually goes for depends on who wants to bid and what they are prepared to pay.

ETA- the actual estimate is £40-£60k, so reserve is probably £35k

I'd prefer this (much cheaper) Jensen CV8

Looks pretty solid to me - it's also complete so I doubt it would cost 100k to restore - don't get me wrong it would expensive but not 100k - I bet even the paint work would polish up if it's just dirt on it and it's been stored out of the sun

On some of the close up shots you can see bubbling under the paint, so I think it would need a full strip down and respray.

+1 Make sure it's mechanically spot on and run it as is for a while. Would love to turn up at a Ferrari owners club event with it in its present cosmetic condition. smile

Whistles..

Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care

I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.

I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you.

I said I love you and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are..

Given the way a few recent Aston barn finds have sold at auction I'd say Bill from Reading is spot on. They'll pay a lot more than £60k for it.

Looks like a right old load of crap, I wouldn't touch it even if I had more money than sense.

Pick up a copy of the Daily Mail on your way out.

What a rag.
