Mazda 2 Sport

I've never noticed these properly before, but how smart do the Mazda 2 Sport trims look! Especially with a slightly lower stance,perhaps good coilovers. There are two on driveways on my walk to work and I'd definitely be looking at one if I ever wanted to move back to a petrol hatch. Also Parkers lists the 1.5 at 100bhp and just over a ton and really compliments the ride, so sounds fairly nippy and fun.

Any owners? I'm guessing like most Mazdas, the standard spec comes with a decent amount of kit. They should do a 2MPS

Mrs mr2aw11 has a 5dr 2 1.5 sport, and I really like it. Think it looks better in five doors, whereas the platform sharing Fiesta looks better as a 3dr... All imo, of course.
Gets away from the line nice and smart, grippy, and very "chuckable" in the twisties. Overall, very good fun, and no slouch despite not being "hot".
There was talk of a turbo 170-ish bhp MPS variant a few years ago, but hasn't materialised (and likely never will).
Shame really, they're a very good car, and could've handled a lot more poke imo.
