Best routes round Europe?

Spent most of this afternoon planning possible routes for a road trip this summer.

Trying to think of what roads you can't afford to miss (Stelvio, Grossglockner, San Bernadino, etc)

Anyone done/thinking of doing a Eurotrip and already planned out a good route?

Not sure whether to cross the French border into Italy at Mont Blanc or go down to Monaco and go along that way down to Genoa and then along and go into Switzerland via the Stelvio, maybe go along to Austria and then back through Germany and France to home?

Ideally wouldn't mind seeing dams/lakes/etc, the more picturesque stuff in the Alps.
