Multimac Child Seat
Discussion
Bit late to the thread but we have a 4 seater Multimac in our b7 rs4.
We have 4 children (5, 3.5, 1.5 and 4 weeks).
Pro's:
- keep the car (do we need to continue?
)
- considerably more leg room
- looks almost oem fitting
- good quality well trimmed material
- sturdy and crash tested
- can transfer to another car
- cheaper than switching cars
- 5 point harnesses kids can't as easily climb out of
Con's
- not cheap - figure in 1500 quid for fitted seat
- some cars require retiming of back seat
- will squish the rear seat a bit
-heavy
- not much adjustability in seat angle
- made to order so can take a whole
Overall it works well - the design and construction is second to none.
The fitting on the rs4 was easy - just pop the rear seat bench out, exchange solid belt buckles for flexible ones and refit with eye bolts.
