Anyone had any dealings with wewillbuyyourcar.com? I ask as having been to a dealer today and been offered £6700 for my car, webuyanycar offer £6570 and the Vauxhall px tool estimates £6425 - £6875.

wewillbuyyourcar offer £7,878 - I expect to be knocked down a little on this (rear tyres) but this would seem a fairly decent price, car would probably retail somewhere between £9k and £10k I think.

Too good to be true is what my spidey senses say but does anyone know different?

Even if they knock the price down, you don't have to sell it to them.

If they're anything like webuyanycar.com, the online price is subject to a physical inspection (which you, the vendor, have to pay for). Generally the online price will be revised downwards when the car is inspected.

Have used them once in the past and they were fairly straight tbh. They will go over it cosmetically with a magnifying glass though so be prepared for that.

Also check if they charge you for coming out to value the car if you don't accept their offer....

I used them in January to offload the Sportage

Brilliant, that's all i can say

Be honest about any damage / marks etc and get your valuation, they call you later on to arrange a date to collect.

Bloke turns up, goes over car / paperwork, phones it through to office and if everything is as described they transfer the cash straight into you account.

I sold the Kia for more than i planned to sell it for privately - no tyre kickers or other annoying wkers plus i didn't even have to take it anywhere.

Thumbs up from me chaps

I used them when I was getting shot of my Civic Type R. They were very easy to deal with. I done my quote online, filled out the details and a suitable date of collection.

Collected the driver from my local station and took him to my house where he done a thorough inspection and knocked me down for 2 front tyres and even at that they didn't talk nonsense about the replacement cost.

They sit with you until you have contacted your bank to make sure the funds are in and he does the paperwork and everyone was left happy.

Certainly better than the experience I went through with WBAC before I found we will buy your car.

Also they are associated with Bank of Scotland for that extra piece of mind.

They have also been warned about their business conduct by the OFT/Trading standards.

Aye, he spent over an hour going over mine

Guy was telling me how some people park the car up against walls / bushes to hide the damage....like he's not going to see it rolleyes

Another option for you. www.wewantanycar.com

Had dealings with them. Not bad all things considered. The OHs sister told them her car was perfect bodywise. When in fact just about every panel had damage and there was rust around the windscreen. They gave her £600 for what I was thinking was a £700 car.

WBAC paid me £1000 more than main dealer would offer as PX. Cant fault them. Obviously they offer peanuts for Gas Guzzler & will knock you down if you lie when appraising your car. They are a business, not a charity!!

when we moved over here last january i couldn't sell my wifes pug 407, terrible month for private sales. reluctantly tried these guys. what an easy fair experience. i listened to others and filled out the form accurately, then the on screen price was about 3750 or so. took it to the local branch the next day, they inspected and knock 50 off. money transferred same day all sorted.

from what i understand if you are honest about condition then the price is not far off.

Just had a look at this, stuck my reg in and:

Vehicle Type

We do not currently purchase cars of your derivative, we are unable to offer to buy your car at this point in time.

We are continually reviewing the profile of the cars that we can offer to buy, and would encourage you to visit again in the future.

It's a 2006 E60 525d, i'm not sure which criteria they need to meet?
