With the changes in CO2 bands from April this year, is the BMW 320d still the best option as a company car?

For those who don't know, a vehicle with CO2 emmissions of 109g (which I think is the 320d) will jump from 13% in tax year 2011/12 to 16% in tax year 2012/13. My current Volvo V50 1.6 Drive (CO2 of 119g) jumps from 13% currently to 17% in April.

Luckily, I will be opting out of the company car scheme in at the end of April and just wondered if there was anything other than the BMW to look at as I will still retain a fuel card for private mileage. Should I consider a petrol car as that will save me 3%?

Why not have a play about on Comcar and see what options you have?

Just had a look on Comcar and very little is going to fall into the lowest tax band come 2013/14 when CO2 emmissions in this bank are <95g.
