I'll kick off with this, 5.5 litres of prime V8 in a little roadster, the SLK 55 AMG.

One of my RX7s had a 4.6l V8 replacing the puny 160bhp 1.3 rotary.

The rest of the car was also puny, in that most of the structural steel had rusted away to the point where the roll cage was the only thing holding it together.
