Two Green 'A'holes get Punked!

Oh, for the love of God and not having my phone/camera handy! I was driving away from the office today at lunch when I passed two emaciated looking fellows (the look rabid vegetarians take on after too much dedication to their craft) placing flyers on windshields in the parking lot. These flyers later turned out to be tirades about going green and ridiculing those non-practitioners in such as way as to not persuade but to p
s off. Apparently, some had already read these flyers and got the red ass as these two were climbing into their…..you guessed it…..a Honda Insight and the ever self important Prius. These two pulled out in further pursuit of their quest when two obviously un amused drivers (the red-assed ones) piloting a late model Mustang Cobra and a Dodge Ram pickup, equipped with the V-10 Cummins Diesel option, gave chase. I of course fell in behind them as a citizen’s duty to lay journalism. Between two red lights, the Cobra shifts down and zips by the Prius in the left lane (where the rain water is holding) and delivers a perfect wave of muddy, asphalt-laden water from stem to stern before settling in between the two enviro-jihadists. The Dodge Ram went to the front of the pack, billowing black diesel smoke, stopping in front of the Insight (which had a personalized license plate “72 MPG” obnoxiously displayed) causing the unsightly car to test its brakes. Sitting at the red light, with both an astonished and angry (in a vegetarian sort of way) look on his drawn pale face was the Insight driver staring at the eye-level tailgate laden with a three foot wide magnetic black outline of a foot with the caption; “I am proud of my carbon footprint” just below it. This all happened in the space of about 12 seconds but made my whole day.
This truck and Prius are locals and I have seen them both involved in similar escapades over recent times. Apparently, one is a crusader for green issues and the Ram owner revels in winding them up. Just wanted to share my smile with you all tonight.

Prius drivers!!! They all seem on a moral crusade. They love overtaking me at 90 on the motorway when I'm in the Evora quite happily in cruise sipping juice at 70 mph and returning 33 mpg...they are worse than angry bored DADs in MPVs at doing that. As if I couldn't smash past them if I wanted, but I just chuckle. Carbon footprint on a Prius is also massive with all those parts, batteries and ten year life span. Many of the LandRovers and Lotuses they tut at will still be on the road in 30 years time.
