Skoda Octavia/Superb High Mileage

slow day at the office so just browsing the classifieds and noticed so many diesels Superbs /Octavias with over 200k on the clock

just interested to know how they rack up so many miles and are still going, getting MOT'd

i know most of these are probably either rep mobiles or Taxis

surely a Passat / A4 shares many of the same engine parts but I rarely see any of these hit the 200K mark

something in the Czech water?

My brother's Passat has 265k on the clock, friend's A4 is getting close to 200k.

Perhaps not as many of them about as the Skodas, or of course, the Passat/A4 cars could just have had more haircuts!

When i was working in Newcastle a while back every taxi was one of these, speaking to the drivers, one was saying they are reliable but also the dealers offered amazing service to them ( turbo change whilst you wait) all servicing was being booked in by the hour so they would not loose trade for too long
