Just don't. Even if they're brand new and free, as mine were.

I feel your pain COMPLETELY!

I have the on my E60 5 series, they came wit the car when i bought it.

THey make such a high pitched noise i thought at one point there was something really wrong with the car.

Grip is minimal in the dry, in the wet my TC light might as well be on permanently.

Problem is they will last forever, or until i put it in a field.

THey should be illegal.

Tyres is pushing it. A tyre you would expect to at least resemble the default characteristics of a tyre.

You know, grip, confidence in taking a corner while braking, accelerating, moving off your drive etc.

These are just mental.

I looked at a customers car once which had a set of these fitted and although they looked fine on the outer side wall the inner side wall was totally coming apart on all four tyres.

Not good!

One of them needed damn near half a kilo to balance. There's a huge block of weights the size of a paperback.

I'll second that.

My daily came with some nearly new Wanli s1088s on the front. Lethal in the wet and made so much road noise, I honestly thought a wheel bearing was on it's way out.

The guy at the tyre place didn't seem surprised when I sacked them off for some mid-range Avons.
