Web site for info on a car?

Hi,

Quick one please! Looking at buying a VW Golf Tdi from a friend, but he has no idea what type of Tdi it is, ie 1.9, 2.0 or the bhp output. I can't go and look at it just yet as he's a fair distance away and I don't want to go all that way and find out its a wheezy 90bhp or something!

Is there a reference site I can put the reg into and it will tell me the spec?

Use the mytext check app or similar on iphone (or whatever phone you have)

You can get this info and HPI check. Its pretty cheap.

Nuts. I think its a 103bhp. I really wanted it to be a 140.

According to car check on my phone it's a 1.9 105 bhp.
