Would you do a HPI check on an £800 car?

Do HPI's register if there are any logbook loans on a car?

I would, but it depends if you're OK with ending up with SFA if the car turns out to be stole or on finance, although the finance is unlikely on something at this sort of price bracket but you never know.

I would say it depends where you're buying it from. From a dealer I wouldn't bother but from a private seller, definitely.
I've not done an hpi on any of the 3 cars I've bought (ranging from £660 to £3000) but all 3 came from traders
