Slightly different take on this one, I'm not talking about fastest in a straight line but who has the highest average speed logged on their on board computer?

I'll start, this is my Clubman d, last reset 19k miles ago.

I don't have a trip computer (or any kind of computer for that matter), how do I enter?

Wish I had a picture but my old works Giulietta spent its life on the motorway. After 12,000 miles the average speed was 71.7mph - unsociable hours meant I could, er, exercise the car for many hours on a private road. Hypothetically, the same result could have been achieved through weeks of 5am/3pm runs on an empty motorway.

Note down your speed at ten second intervals and then plot it out onto graph paper.

I'd imagine Red Victor would have the highest average speed. Even idling for several minutes couldn't possibly drag it down too much.

Red victor is a drag/sprint car no?

So five minutes at 0 mph
hypothetically, 1 minute at 200mph

man maths suggest average 50 mph

However I don't know exactly what it does.

1 minute at 200mph would be a very very long drag strip. If he was heading south from santa pod he'd probably end up somewhere near luton airport hehe

(ok, so it's only 3 and a bit miles)

I had a 60mph average over the 40mile journey to work about a week ago.

Yes, your honour, it's almost entirely motorway. judge

As you get off the M4 motorway on to the A338 heading north towards Wantage, I have managed to average 60 leptons from the big sign just as you get off the motorway junction roundabout, to opposite the playing fields of the school on the right as you get in to Wantage.

That is exactly a 10 mile stretch. It took exactly 10 minutes. There are 2 20mph bends and one that you'll struggle to do over 30 in anything.

I managed this feat in a 1.1 Peugeot 106 XN one summer night at 2am. It was possibly the most on edge 10 minutes of my life as it's one of the best pieces of road in Britain.

So basically to win this you must spend your entire life on motorways

Maybe i'm missing the point here but could someone tell me why this is good?
