Afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to the value of my (broken) E36 328 track car.

It has an overheating problem, apparently a core plug, the temperature needle did not go into the red but it is not clear whether the head gasket was affected or not. Unfortunately I do not have the time, knowledge or space to fix it so it has to go, a shame as it’s a great car.

The car has been set up for track days and has the following spec;

Gaz suspension
Dave F induction kit
Stripped interior
2No. buckets seats
Grooved brakes
M3 wheels
Strut braces front and back
M3 front bumper
Rolled arches
All rust was professionally repaired leaving the shell and bodywork in mint condition.

Mileage is 80k, lots of MOT and Tax.

I am going to put it on Ebay but really can’t decide how to price it!

I'd be more inclined to put it up for sale on PH / a track day forum first?

No m3 lsd, no cage. What seats what buckets & what gaz- golds?

If not golds its a v mild spec -i'd bite mateys arm of at a grand.

All depends on engine if its goosed or not, as is not worth much if it is, best off selling the parts off.

First question is why did it overheat?

If it's just a core plug fit a new one and put new coolant in and see what it does.

If it's over heating it's not worth £500 other thanfor the good bits.

There is a fine line between 'help me value' and 'free advertising' I think. set thing to do if it really is broken might be look at grouping some lots together into suitable 'job lots' as it were as they may appeal more to people after specific things rather than someone having to buy the whole lot just for a couple of items.
