Test drove a Jag XK today and enjoyed it so much that I took up the option of putting down a refundable deposit to hold the car.

The car in question is an 06 XK 78k miles 1 owner Full Jag SH....from a Jag MAIN dealer for £17k.
Tomorrow I'm driving a 2002 911 Carrera 4s manual.....72k Independant dealer.....probably £500 more

If I can see little between them post the 911 drive what do you think represents the best value ??

(If there is a clear winner it'll be a moot point, but if not any advice on practicalities will be helpful)

My first foray into this kind of motoring so any advice very much welcomed.

Thanks

Two very different cars, my guess is you'll prefer one Or the other. Good luck & enjoy.

Frankly?

Sod value. At 20kish and in the sportscar segment you're buying in, get the one which gives you the biggest horn. A grand or two here or there come resale means nowt in the scheme of things, and randomly according to luck each could present you with a bill for that anyway.

Buy the car you like the most.

undoubtedly if one appeals more than the other it will be an easy choice, if it doesn't practicalities will come into it.

Just thought I'd ask in case anyone out there had experience of both....hopefully I'll be wiser post the 911 trip :-)

Not owned either, but spent time with both.
Between the two you can't really make a duff decision.

They are quite different though, it will boil down to whatever floats you boat.

Once you've tried both, you'll know the answer instantly.
