I am looking for a nice cheap car ( hopefully under £2k ) which has the best rear legroom. I have had a look at some estates and MPV's but its quite difficult to tell.

Is there a website or similar which will allow me to search for cars/estates/mpvs/4x4's etc by leg room or do I literally have to search google for each car and then find info on the dimensions..Both my kids are over 6ft and rear legroom on holiday is geeting a real talking point !!

thanks

I'm 6"3 as is my grandad, and I can fit in the back of his Jazz, and have plenty of legroom spare.

This 'cos it's based on an A6 platform and nicely packaged. Aalways happy passengers of the tall variety in mine (51-plate). Big boot for big people's holiday gear too smile

Have a look at the Vauxhall Signum. Was designed to have massive rear legroom and should be easily available at the price you mentioned.

If you need an estate, head for a C5 Audi A6. I had a 2004 one and it was quite nice. Reckon your £2k will find you a decent petrol one.

I'm 6 foot 4 and fit in the back of my omega no problem. Should be plenty around for a fair bit less than £2k including mine!!

Only 2 real seats in the back of a Signum, and you get the same legroom in a Vectra estate plus a decent-sized boot.

Mercedes B-Class is supposed to have more rear leg room than an S.

Citroen C8 2.2 HDi 16V. Its huge.
Take out the middle row of seats and you'll be able to stretch your legs out straight.
Does about 40mpg, its still modern and relatively new.

Mercedes V-class, really is a van. Comes with captains chairs
Renault Grand Espace 2.2 TD
Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi,

Any smoker barge:
Audi A8
BMW 7 series lwb
Honda Legend
Jaguar XJ6 lwb
Lexus LS
Nissan QX

My pic would be the Peugoet 607 2.2 HDi, Bags of room, its still a car. Otherwise the C8 would be hard to beat on room, spec, age, value etc. Economy.
