Just thought I'd run a quote through a compare website....

bt aof a day dream car, Ford Focus RS (mk2)

25 YEARS LICENE HELD, 10 years NCD, no convictions, age 44.....

Cost per year: £320

Whereas my regular car, Audi 19.tdi, costs £450.....

So its cheaper to insure a Focus RS (with mods to 350bhp)?

Confused.

I'd imagine bits for an RS are cheaper than an Audi, and a lot more A4 TDI's have been in a smack than Mk2 RS's.

Currently, i have an accord type-s and a Renault sport megane.
The megane is cheaper to insure than the Honda, which is most odd.

470 quid for both (for me and the wife), cheaper than last year!
I have 16NCB, 36 no points..

its quite cheap for both those, why the megane is the cheaper of the two I have no idea.

Note, the cheeky chunts at Admiral sent me a renewal for 960 quid, on the website (as a new user) I got 500quid, so phoned and moaned and then got it for 470ish...

I guess in the same way that 17 year olds can get cheaper quotes on a XJ8 than a Corsa because more 17 year olds crash Corsa's than XJ8's, 44 year olds can get cheaper quotes on an RS than an A4, because more 44 year olds crash A4's than RS's.

Must do a quote for an RS myself. Can feel some man-maths coming on...
