Is there a particular reason that at the moment there is a heavy promotion of biker awareness?

The weather hasn't been to bad these past few weeks, so a lot of people have been back on their bikes after a winter lay off.

Cheers chaps. Would it be reasonable to deduce from this, that spring has more than average biker accidents?

In related news, why are all the M25 signs banging on about not littering all of a sudden?

Because they're starting to heavily enforce this with £100 (IIRC) fines.

Shame they don't have a sign saying "Bikers, think car and truck".

It's because the weather is getting better and spring is notorious for accidents as a lot of bikers, like me, have put their pride and joy away for the winter only to bring it out when the sun comes out.

It's takes a bit of time to recalibrate your brain to the dynamics and performance and the reality that you are not VR after all

Real Bikers have been there all year round, what they mean is think middle aged nutjob on a Gixxer thou, that hasnt seen the light of day since last September, who has been driving a 2.0 diesel Mondeo and is now squeezing himself into his leathers and going round scaring himself having forgotten how monstrously fast it really is.
