Protect my rim

Anybody have any idea if this sort of product is any good?

Where we live there are lots of narrow lanes and when pulling in it is often very difficult to not scuff the rims. Im thinking of getting the wheels refurbed and fitting some sort of rim protector, so I was wondering what sort of experiences PHers had.

As its an Audi I might even fit red protectors to match the current trends!
