Afternoon!
Just took my car for an mot, its a rover 214si that i swapped for my merc, it passed everything apart from emissions(cat was in the boot) the bloke at the garage said he would fit the cat for around 20 pounds, got home and found a message saying the cat doesnt fit and the car seems to have a full stainless exhaust fitted, what do i do? Panicking a bit as i dont really want to spend a lot on the car as it was only meant for a shed and maybe to shift on once i find a replacement,
Cheers in advance
Steve

Find one in a local scrappy , get em to roll it on its side, remove exhaust, either that or find a mot place that will turn a blind, don't think these exist now though.

Trouble is cats are taken off straight away at scrappies as they are valuable items

This, plus the fact they are not normally removed in the spanner manner, a hi ab or the crane used to take them off recovery trucks rip them off.
