Win: Mercedes-Benz SLS (Little Edition)

Your chance to win the king of the playground car park

While your little bundle of joy may not be able to speak, inside their small head they occasionally criticise your choice of car, mock the fact that you missed the apex on the way to the supermarket and wish you had bought them the Recaro child seat instead of that one from Halfords. They can’t help it, the car gene has been passed down and there isn’t anything they can do about it. But it does mean they are more discerning than most when it comes to cars.

When at the park, in the playground or at the family BBQ having the right wheels is everything. No child wants to be seen in one of those red and yellow egg-shaped monstrosities, they want to show they understand cars and have absolute good taste when it comes to selecting the right one. Besides, every child knows the fastest way to the paddling pool is with a touch of opposite lock around the apple tree. And you can’t do that in an egg.

Still, help is at hand, dear reader, and your child need miss out for much longer, as we can offer the smaller PHer a chance to own their dream car. Not just any old car either, but the latest in push-along hypercar goodness that is the SLS ‘sit on edition’, freshly delivered from Mercedes-Benz UK and worth many pounds Sterling (though not, admittedly, as much as the real thing).

Imagine their face as you present them with their very own SLS and your subsequent delight as they ram-raid all of your precious furniture and run over the cat. No need to thank us, no need at all, but don’t blame us when they start cruising the Kings Road during the summer time, start to ask when Daddy is talking them to the Nurburgring and refuse to get into your Mondeo due to its lack of performance.

To win the sit-on supercar all you need to do is send us an email to babywantsasupercar@pistonheads.com with ‘SLS’ as the subject matter, along with your name and postal address. A winner will be chosen at random from a romper suit at 12.00 on Friday 9th March. If you fancy posting a few pictures on the attached thread that best demonstrates the fact that your child is the most PH of them all, please feel free. It won't help you win, but will be quite sweet.

Thanks to the team at Mercedes-Benz UK for providing the prize.

What if you don't have a child?
Shall I go out and make one?

Just abduct it for the duration of the competition - dispose afterwards.

Possibly a bit inappropriate for a Mercedes competition, but winning a SLS (albeit a small version) gives them a chance to earn brand loyalty early on....

Edited to show progression towards PH membership.....

P.s His little brother would probably be better sized for the SLS!

So what happens to all the personal details of the people who enter? One of them gets a car, do the rest of us get random mailshots for eternity?

They get deleted. No opt in for marketing, so no third party mailings. It's the law.

As you can see, my son's "Winnie the Pooh" car isn't exactly doing his street cred the word of good. You can tell by the very unimpressed look on his face!

A nice SLS would be perfect for his first birthday next month... :-D

I've started Mini'amp at the deep end, so something a bit more manageable would be more sensible:

And here he is checking on the Rolex 24 at Daytona this year:
