Some of you may hve seen, i've made a few topics lately about e90 3-series diesels.
Ive spent hours and hours looking for one recently, less than 50k with idrive, xenons, MSport and 330d/325d. Ideally with the wheel upgrade and in blue.
Finding one less than £14k and that mileage has been a total nightmare.
Anyway, i've seen an auto 330d in blue with the wheel upgrade and it's an m-sport. 3 previous owners, £11,860 with 48k on the clock.

No xenons or idrive or cd changer, which is a bit s
t. Interior is 'unique' but i think with that leater they have a black headlining which is nice

Any suggestions as to what i should do? Strike now and get a nice low miler for a reasonable price? Put it off in the hopes of finding one to spec which could never happen?
Gah, i hate buying a new car at times

What reg is it?
They are hard to find for a reasonable price, some people will tell you the i Drive is essential and a must have or it will be worth £2.50, others won't.
I got one without and just use my smart phone for sat nav/music etc and perfectly happy without it.
It looks a nice car - next time round its a 330/335d for me but 07 onwards as I really wish I had gone LCI now.
That price seems fair if there is scope for a bit of negotiation?
PS - I cant get my head round the 525/325ds, seems to me the 330d is same economy but better power etc.

When you say wheel upgrade, do you mean the 18" wheels? If so I think they were standard on all of the 6 cylinder models.Ive spent hours and hours looking for one recently, less than 50k with idrive, xenons, MSport and 330d/325d. Ideally with the wheel upgrade and in blue.

The price is about right, a lot of car for the money these days. I like it in that colour with that interior, mine didn't have idrive or xenons, didn't make any difference to me, if it does for you then....

Im not hugely concerned about that, 3 owners in 6 years seems fine, it was serviced at 21, 31 and 39k miles.Urban Sports said:

Yeah, the 18"s. Wasnt aware all 6 cylinders had that, i probably got confused because i spent time looking at 320's too with the 17" wheels. The price is about right, a lot of car for the money these days. I like the car the more i look at it, the only thing is i dont want to be sat there in 6 months wishing i had a car with a few more toys. Im a sucker when it comes to gadgets on cars

Like I said the colour combination works but I'd personally rather have the black, it would be easier to keep looking clean than that one. What are the tyres like, it's a dear do if it need they replacing so that needs to be taken into account.I'd also want a BMW warranty for piece of mind, I used mine on a couple of occasions. If you are not sure then it probably isn't the car for you so hold out for one in the spec you want, having said that a friend has just bought an 06 330d albeit a manual and he said they were pretty thin on the ground at the moment.
The car is probably worth the money at that price, infact I'd say it is priced quite well although it is lacking some of the options you want.

Its tempting at that price with some haggling - but only you can decide if you can live with the lack of i drive
Is it me or does that steering wheel look like its well out of line if the wheels are straight, minor point but I hate squint steering wheels so much.
Anyway - with the new 3 series out not sure what impact that will have on prices and you may end up picking up something with toys for similar money soon?
Otherwise I quite like that colour combo - a grand off that would hit my personal value for money mark TBH.
Edit to add what Urban said - you want a BMW warranty, you can buy it afterwards as long as its serviced properly, check it out. I know the 330d can throw up DPF problems and its worth having peace of mind.

I would wait, they look much more aggresive with xenons, and you can always add the 18s later on, where as a full xenon retrofit is a ball ache. ide look for one on pov spec wheels with xenons and i drive, most likely hard to come by cause the majourity of ex company cars around.
are you looking in BMW dealers? they are more likely to get a well speced one in from finance upgrade than anywere else

With regards to the wheels, as I stated above I think the 6 cylinder cars come with 18" wheels as standard.are you looking in BMW dealers? they are more likely to get a well speced one in from finance upgrade than anywere else

I'd go for the 330i......330d is fine if you want to dream about DPF bliss! BMW Warranty excludes DPF cover and the consequential carbon-lurched turbo.
In reality, are DPF's and turbo's gonna be going bang on a 50k mile, serviced and looked after car?I need a diesel because my mpg is piss poor in my current petrol with the miles im doing.
Diesel is also the new master race
