BMW E46 M3

Looking at getting an estate and want something quick, the only options i can see are the Audi RS4 or the C class Merc AMG, did BMW ever make a M3 estate?
I am sure the old E36 was available as an estate?

No and no for the e36.

No M3 touring.

335 petrol E90 estate is the closest you will get.

Gives 305+ bhp, manual or auto, estates start from £11k with a fair few miles on.

Much cheaper to run than an M3, fast enough to be fun, nicer inside than e46 models.

Its about this point that BMW started to dilute the whole ethos of the M division by trying to capture buyers in all forms instead of sticking to the core values of the brand.

I mean, an estate M5!? next they will be bringing out M powered SUV's and diesel powered M cars

Did they not make a few of them? I seem to remember an article last year that showed on of the 'higher ups' at BMW using an M3 Touring as his daily.

Yes although it did go under the E61 model name.
